Products by Ark Cat Sanctuary

The Ark Cat Sanctuary is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization established in 2008 (EIN: 20-5883650). Ark rescues at-risk cats and kittens from municipal shelters and the public in Arizona and the Navajo Nation/Four Corners region, arranges any care they need to become healthy, provides socialization to make them adoptable, and then adopts them into permanent homes. Cats with behavioral or health issues who cannot be put up for adoption have a permanent home at the Sanctuary.

The Ark facility is located on 10 acres in the Kaibab National Forest near Parks, AZ. The Executive Director lives on the Sanctuary property and provides 24-hour care for medical issues, kittens, and the resident cats. The Ark employs paid contractors who provide routine daily care for the Sanctuary cats and staff our adoption center at the Flagstaff PetSmart store.

Ark relies on volunteers to transport cats to and from the Sanctuary, foster kittens, post on social media, and do other projects at the facility. Ark works with shelters and members of the public in underserved areas near Flagstaff, including the Navajo Nation, where there are vast numbers of homeless cats and limited opportunities to get them adopted. Ark's main rescue partners are Coconino Humane Society, Tuba City Humane Society, Holbrook Animal Control, Navajo Nation Animal Control, and Winslow Animal Control.

Ark has saved thousands of cats over the last 15 years.
