Hello there, fellow animal lovers! My name is Marina and I'd love to help you transport your pet to various appointments around Contra Costa! Animals have always had a special place in my heart and I am passionate about their health and their wellbeing. Anything I could to contribute to an animal's quality of life and welfare is a reward in and of itself. I currently reside in Brentwood, CA with my partner and our rescue FIV+, and ex-street cat Aries. Most recently, I have worked as a pet bather/grooming assistant and receptionist at a local grooming facility. I quit my job to have a more flexible schedule to visit my family back in Los Angeles, CA while still attending school at Los Medanos College and continuing life with my partner here in Brentwood. I have night classes and am available during morning and daytime hours, respectively. Although the cat is the current focus of my adoration, I'm a dog lover through and through! I've had meaningful relationships with dogs all throughout my life and my favorite dog breed is mutt! I love the dogs where it's origins are a darn mystery, with wild hair and ears pointing in any ole' direction. My family in SoCal has a Newfoundland and a terrier/chi mix and due to my magnetic enthusiasm for dog companionship and because of my work history I am familiar with dogs of all sizes, shapes, breeds. I also have a huge soft spot for Goldens, bully breeds, and most especially- senior dogs. I am also familiar with cats, having the pleasure to have one as a member of my own family. I have also handled the cats of friends and family and have even bathed and help groom cats at my old job! I drive a 1999 red Ford Escort. I just recently took it in for a tune up and the breaks are new and everything is up to par! The car has four doors and a sizable trunk. It's an old car, a used car and I'm not afraid of getting drool on the interior. It's a good, reliable car and I do have my CA state license. I am also willing to expel anal glands, trim nails, clean ears, and bathe at a self wash provided your pet is non confrontational and you're available for assistance if needed. You must provide nail clippers, ear cleaner and shampoos and conditioner. Perhaps one day I will buy these products myself so that I may provide them myself, but currently I do not have these tools and supplies. Pet treats must also be provided if necessary for interaction and communication purposes. Dogs and cats aren't the only ones that need vet care and transportation! I'm bird, reptile, and rodent friendly too! Provided all small animals (or not so small animals) are properly caged and secure. For dog and cat transportation, a kennel or proper transportive carrier is preferred. Collars are preferred and I have a brand new, sturdy, rope style dog leash.
