Feral Fixers

About Feral Fixers
Feral Fixers practices and promotes Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) for locations in DuPage County, IL. TNR is the only proven long-term, humane method for reducing the number of cats and kittens living outdoors. Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a full management plan in which stray and feral cats already living outdoors in cities, towns, and rural areas are humanely trapped, evaluated, vaccinated, and sterilized by veterinarians. When space is available, adoptable cats and kittens are transferred to sheltering organizations to be adopted into good homes. Healthy adult cats unsocialized to humans are returned to their familiar habitat under the lifelong care of their original caretakers. While performing its function of Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), Feral Fixers finds many stray and abandoned cats who are friendly and suitable to be indoor cats. While we work with as many partner organizations as possible to help Adopt these cats, Feral Fixers also does its own cat and kitten adoptions. All cats and kittens up for Adoption through Feral Fixers are in Foster homes, are spayed/neutered, current on their vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed and FeLV/FIV tested.
