Animal House Project dba SafeHaven Animal Rescue T

SafeHaven Animal Rescue Team is a large breed at risk dog Rescue, Rehabilitation and at times a Sanctuary located in Northeast Texas.  The program was established in 2021, under Anzimal House Project, a 501 c3 Charitable Organization, when a group of friends found themselves answering a call to a large breed specific hoarding situation.  Since ANimal House Project started as a rescue and it did not fall outside of our original scope under our 501 c3 Charter, we jumped in and did not look back. Since that time, the Program has become huge success.  

In addition to rescuing large breed dogs from high risk kill shelters, SafeHaven Animal Rescue Team also vets, rehabilitates and trains both the dogs and the new adopters.  We are a parachute to all of the dogs who come through our Rescue Program.  

We partner and work only with the best rescue partners who meet out exceptional standards when it comes to the care and wellbeing of large breed dogs.  For adoptions, we consider our selves more of a matchmaker than just a placement of a dog in a home.  We require an application, conference call with all potential adopters; home visits; vet checks; personal reference checks as well as other requirements.  We also ask for an Adoption Donation based on the age of the adopted dog.

Rescue is a Team Effort and there is no "I" in Team.  We are the voice for the voiceless.

We have adopters all across the country.  For the right family and donation help in transport, we will make dreams come true.  

For Transporters we are looking for partners who are USDA Registered and Certified and who possess Insurance.  Also, since you are carrying large breed precious cargo, we only allow our dogs to be transported in Airline Crates and not wire crates.
