Companion Animal Alliance

Companion Animal Alliance is the nonprofit Baton Rouge animal shelter formed in 2010 to increase the save rate of animals in our community. In partnership with the East Baton Rouge City-Parish, CAA operates the EBR Parish open-intake shelter, caring for nearly 9,500 animals each year including cats, dogs, horses, wildlife, and exotic animals.

Companion Animal Alliance is constantly operating over capacity and has many great animals in need of placement. CAA will provide all animals sent with a health certificate, rabies certificate (if old enough) and medical records, along with any furthur state requirments.
