Lakes Area Humane Society

The Lakes Area Humane Society (LAHS) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, formed in 1989 by a group of concerned citizens wishing to make a difference for animals in our community.

Some of our services include:

• Adoptions and Reuniting Lost Pets
• Impounding and Surrender Service
• Adoptions Counseling
• Prevention
• Behavior Counseling and Training

Donations and fundraising events provide over 68% percent of LAHS funding. Support from businesses and individuals are essential to fulfill our mission. Your donation allows the LAHS to continue helping animal in need! Help us, help them.

Our mission is to promote responsible care and training for household pets through education and public awareness, and when appropriate, to provide a safe and sheltering haven for lost and abandoned animals pending placement in suitable permanent homes.
