About The Animal Cause, Inc.
The Animal Cause is a Texas based 501(c)(3) nonprofit volunteer services animal welfare organization.
Our primary task is sharing shelter animals across social media so more people can see them and hopefully save them from euthanasia through fostering, rescuing, adopting, sponsoring or transporting them to start a new life.
Our belief is if all animal advocates come together to identify and prioritize issues/situations, etc. that expedited positive change can occur. We therefore do not compete with any other organization, group, company, etc. as there is plenty of work to go around.
Additionally we believe in and support animal shelter and animal welfare reform; via political engagement, and raising awareness; causing social and political change.
Our Vision:
First and foremost to find ways to remind mankind why animals are man's best friend. We created companion animals but seem to have forgotten that along with all of the benefits of having pets. Pets give unconditional love, support, purpose and joy to our lives.
Reform animal welfare by uniting all animal advocates becoming a powerful force and presence that cannot be ignored.
Create a national free spay and neuter program; or advocate for government programs to assist low income families so they enjoy all the benefits of having pet(s).
Reform animal shelters by converting animal shelters into no kill adoption centers, making a positive inviting environment for both the public and its domestic animals.
Create national pet ownership standards, compliance of regulations and enforcement of animal protection laws.
Create accountability for animal abusers, pet owners and breeders. Campaign for states like Texas to follow the example of states that require spay/neuter, microchipping and registering pets so they don't end up in an animal shelter, lost, etc.
Lastly, to create campuses where rescued animals can be taken for rehabilitation and resocialization in pursuit of adoption preparation via multi-step programs. Additionally, training animals to put into service of people for such things as medical, therapy, military, law enforcement and so many more.
Our Mission:
Offering volunteer services to save more animals while examining and supporting efforts to solve the causes behind the shelter population. These services are offered to anyone in animal welfare.
Currently we rely solely on the donations and fundraising events to support our efforts. We are 100% volunteer based. No representative of The Animal Cause earns a salary.
