SPCA Tampa Bay

About SPCA Tampa Bay
SPCA Tampa Bay is a non-profit, animal welfare agency that runs an open-admission For-All animal shelter and public veterinary center in Pinellas County. We have been serving the community for more than 80 years through adoption of dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and more. Annually SPCA Tampa Bay cares for almost 8,000 animals that have been surrendered by their owners, along with injured wildlife.
Please see the guidelines for working with our organization below.
For organizations that would like to transfer to our organization, we require a Placement Partner Application be filled out and a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) be signed. We work with a select few partners on a regular basis to assist those communities in need, while keeping in mind the population of animals in our own community. For animals we transport out of our facility, we put out rescue pleas for significant medical or behavior reasoning on an individual basis. We do not allow other organizations to openly pull from our facility. We require a Placement Partner Application be filled out and a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) be signed. For animals that we do transfer out: animals will be up-to-date on vaccines, spayed/neutered, and HW/combo tested.
