Fur-Ever Home Rescue

FHR is an all-breed, foster-based rescue based out of Virginia Beach, VA. We are always in need of foster parents. Other Volunteer opportunities include home visits, reference checks, volunteering as a greeter at events, handling dogs at events, transporting dogs locally to events and vet appointments, assisting with promotion of dogs by cross posting and adding them to online portals.

Foster homes are subject to the same due diligence as adopters. We work hard to make your foster experience a great one by trying to find you the best fit for your home, lifestyle, family and other pets. FHR covers all medical treatment and preventative medications; we ask our fosters to provide food if it's in their budget. We have loaner crates, ex-pens, baby gates and other supplies as needed. Transporters are requested to crate or tether dogs while transporting, and if fresh from a shelter, use two leashes, one a slip lead. All puppy transports where pups are not fully vaccinated are "no paws on ground". Gas reimbursement is always available.
