About Seattle Humane Society
Seattle Humane is the largest private non-profit shelter in WA. We transfer in over 5,000 animals a year from across the country. We have a 98% live release rate.

Our primary focus is serving the state of WA. We aim to reduce euthanasia at our in state transfer partners. We pull animals from out of state and we have stricter requirements for them due to the need here in WA.
