Vanderburgh Humane Society

About Vanderburgh Humane Society
We are an open-admission shelter in southwestern Indiana serving more than 10,000 animals every year between our shelter and our public Low-Cost Spay & Neuter Clinic. Our average annual population is around 950 dogs, 1700-1800 cats, and 100 rabbits (among many other domestic animals as needed, such as guinea pigs & rodents, birds, reptiles, and potbellied pigs.)
Please see the guidelines for working with our organization below.
We are seeking receiving shelters for cats & kittens (and possibly rabbits as well.) We struggle significantly with cats from April-November every single year. We have an in-house Spay & Neuter Clinic that can get cats fully vetted with a quick turnaround, which we can cover the cost for. We're hoping to send a larger quantity of cats and/or kittens (ideally 20-30+) at a time. We would require any receiving shelters to be 501(c)(3) organizations reputable in their communities, which we would verify with references.
