Galveston County Animal Resource Center

About Galveston County Animal Resource Center
Galveston County Animal Resource Center provides field and shelter services to the stray and surrendered animals within our jurisdiction: Texas City, La Marque, Bayou Vista, Hitchcock, Kemah, Tiki Island, and unincorporated Galveston County. We take in close to 5,000 animals each year. It is our goal to save as many lives as we can which is why we work closely with many rescue groups, promote adoption within our adoption center and try to educate the public about responsible pet ownership. We would love to be able to send more animals out of state to rescue groups and loving homes!
Please see the guidelines for working with our organization below.
Rescues: We require that all rescue groups submit a copy of their 501c3 via email ([email protected]) or fax (409-945-2540). We also ask that all rescue groups fill out our short 1 page application. Fosters: We do require fosters to fill out our online foster application and speak with our Foster Coordinator prior to fostering any animals. The online application can be found here: https://goo.gl/forms/KCUk5haYbiKYaMG22. Volunteers: We do ask that volunteers fill out an application and attend an orientation at our facility (we hold orientations 2x per month). However, exceptions may be made if the volunteer is a Doobert Transport Volunteer.
