Texas Best Choices Animal Rescue

TBC Animal Rescue was created in 2006 as a volunteer operated, non-profit, 501c3 no kill organization in Hunt County in N.E. Texas to rescue and rehabilitate unwanted, homeless and helpless dogs and pups helping each to find a carefully matched permanent and loving home through adoption. We accept all breeds to reduce the large numbers going to high kill area shelters. It is our mission to educate the community on humane care, spay & neuter and promote an overall appreciation of companion animals. We are an outdoor rescue on 22 acres and house on average 145 dogs- primarily medium to large to XL breeds . We have a current transfer program but large dogs are rare to be accepted. We would love to see our larger animals find homes outside of our very poor area. We are looking for outbound transfer only.

We maintain excellent health records and can provide all details for outgoing transfer. All of our animals are vaccinated, including Bordetella, wormed twice, have received flea/tick prevention and Heartworm prevention. Many of our animals are spayed or neutered but it is not currently a requirement for our current transfer affiliate. We would want to know details about where our animals are going,- what type of facility, a city or rural location. We would want to know their Capacity, type of accommodations, their adoption requirements, that our animals would not be at risk for EU, their adoption rate, and average # of days in the shelter. We currently receive no compensation for our animals from our current transfer partner, but would like to see some type of mutually beneficial partnership agreement.
