Placer County Animal Services

Placer County Animal Services' is the municipal animal shelter and Animal Control agency for most of Placer County. Our mission is to promote and protect the health, safety and welfare of the animals and people in our community. Through collaborative and sustainable partnerships, we strive to improve the lives of the animals in our care through community outreach and education, providing veterinary treatment and preventative care, reuniting lost pets with their families and ensuring positive outcomes through adoption, rescue or foster programs.

We are a receiving shelter that may request transport to bring more animals into our organization. We will initiate the request for animals with a transport shelter and will assist with making arrangements as needed. We are looking for volunteers willing to assist with transportation from Southern California cities to our shelter in Northern California.
