Outta the Cage

Our mission at Outta the Cage is to help people see shelter dogs as individuals. We go to shelters and video dogs in the play yards and open areas. Then we share the videos social media and enlist people to help save them. 

Outta the Cage is directly involved in our community, rescuing good dogs and helping them find adopters and fosters. We put special focus on dogs who have been identified as "urgent," including seniors, ill and special-needs dogs, and so-called dominant breeds. These dogs are often overlooked by potential adopters but, through targeted networking and promotion, they can become wonderful companions.

From time to time we also advise shelters, rescues, animal advocacy groups, and private companies on the application of information technology to animal rescue.

We are actively looking for rescue partners in the Pacific Northwest who can accept dogs from our crowded L.A. shelters and find them homes. We pay ALL EXPENSES, including pull fees, vetting, and transport costs. Please email us at [email protected].

We require a homecheck by a reputable organization/contact prior to pulling the dog for out of state transfer.
