The Heart of Rescue

We are a foster-based, 501(c)3 non-profit rescue located in Eugene and Portland, Oregon, plus Los Angeles, California. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home at-risk animals, primarily from the West Coast. We specialize in Rottweilers, but also welcome dogs of every breed and size. Plus the occasional cat. Our dogs are mainly rescued from high-kill shelters in California, Oregon, and Washington. We are often their last hope. We also accept some owner-surrenders. The Heart of Rescue relies on adopters in Oregon, and Southern Washington to provide our babies with loving, “furever” homes.

All dogs must be transported in crates or tethered. Transporters must be dog-savvy and preferably have experience with dominant breeds.
