Albuquerque Animal Welfare Department

We are a large, municipal (City of Albuquerque) organization with the mission to protect, and provide animal services to our citizens and to all owned, lost, or stray animals within our community. We enforce our city animal ordinances and work towards preventing animal abuse, cruelty, disease, and responsible pet ownership.

We screen organizations that wish to pull animals via an online application process: http://www.cabq.gov/pets/shelters-rescue-groups/application-for-rescue-status and transport our animals to other screened rescues and shelters via our staff and trained volunteers.
